Owl Training and Pot Luck

May 29 @ 10:30 am 12:30 pm

There will be a Meeting Owl training session followed by a pot-luck lunch after rise of meeting on Sunday, May 29. (The Meeting Owl is a combination camera/microphone/loudspeaker that lets us have blended worship—attenders both in person and on line.) If you’re a confident computer user, please come and learn about how to do tech care of meeting; it doesn’t take long, it’s rewarding, and it’s a great help to Burlington Friends. We’ll go over basic pre-meeting setup, procedures during meeting, and post-meeting takedown, talk about problems that can creep up, start and run a mock blended meeting, and then adjourn outside or to the Bassett House porch for lunch. If you can make it, please e-mail Bill Williams, clerk of the Communications and Technology Committee, at communications@burlingtonquakers.org, so we can coordinate the pot luck. Coming to the training does not commit you to taking tech care of meeting; feel free to come just to learn about how the Owl works.

If you’ve done tech care of meeting before, please come anyway. You can contribute your wisdom, and it never hurts to review!
